Welcome to Tecumseh, Ontario! The Town of Tecumseh is situated directly east of Windsor and along the southern shores of Lake St. Clair. Tecumseh is named after Chief Tecumseh of the Shawnee Indigenous Nation who allied with British during the War of 1812. The town administers a large amount of land in the Essex County and most of the urbanization is contained between the shores of Lake St. Claire on the north side and Highway 22 along the south side with some residential population located south in Oldcastle. Agriculture and food processing are the two major industries in Tecumseh and commuting to downtown Windsor is an easy average 20-minute car ride along Highway 22 and the E.C. (Edward Chandler) Row Expressway.

Tecumseh is also known for its good quality transportation infrastructure system. Tecumseh was the first town in Essex County to implement a Transit system that connects directly to Transit Windsor’s bus routes and much of the urbanized area is pedestrian and cyclists friendly with sidewalks, bike lanes and multi-purpose regional pathways that is part of the greater Essex County Wide Transportation System (CWATS).

Today’s video, we will showcase some of Tecumseh’s luxury neighbourhoods. We will walk along Pentilly Road adjacent along the Beach Grove golf course, do a driving tour to check out some estate homes in Oldcastle and the waterfront homes along Tecumseh’s Riverside Drive East.
