We automatically associate nitrogen and potassium applications with yield increases. But what if that is not true?
Join AEA Founder John Kempf as he describes how nitrogen mismanagement increases a plant's requirements for water and photosynthetic energy, creating a yield drag effect. Excessive nitrogen increases a plant's water requirements by upwards of 30% and can cost as much as 20% of total photosynthetic synthetic energy. It is also important to know that only 40% of commercially applied nitrogen is actually absorbed by the crop. A majority is bleached or bound up in the soil.
John will also describe how to select the best type of nitrogen application and how to manage nitrogen additives to increase hydrogen efficiency from 40% to greater than 90%.
