Israel has begun construction to re-establish the controversial illegal settlement of Homesh, which was dismantled in 2005.
The move came after Israeli lawmakers approved legislation earlier this year to re-establish four abandoned settlements in the West Bank.
The US State Department has said it is “deeply troubled” by the move, while the EU has called on Israel to “reverse this action”.
