After travelling around the country this summer parkrunning in Brighton, Scarborough, the Lake District, Devon and South Wales over the previous 5 weeks... our final big tourist running journey took us to Norfolk. As we were travelling back to Leeds then I looked for a parkrun we could run on the way home that was en route and Swaffham parkrun was perfect. We wouldn't have to get up too early but we'd be up and out, with the car packed and be on our way, with a great stop for a run! Then straight back onto the A47 and heading home.
Swaffham parkrun is a 3 lapper all on grass at the Nicholas Hamond Academy Playing Fields, but as you'll see, the course is a little confusing until you run one lap! The highlights for us were the wonderful, friendly community, the Tail Walker's tail and of course the eggs on sticks trees! It was a gorgeous run and a great way to say goodbye to Norfolk until we next visit.
Happy running... or walking!
Nicola :)
