Me and Charles go into the boules of this beast. All the way down to her Keel. Got great footage of some of the boilers in the engine rooms, and Grand Avenue. This ship was built during WWII, and served till Korea, and Vietnam, was decommissioned, then in the 1980's recommissioned and served during the gulf war. The famous footage on TV on the night sky being lit up over Bagdad was all of the Tomahawk's this ship launched on that night.

This was also the fastest Battleship to ever sail. Of all 4 of the Iowa's, this was the fastest. The Iowa class BB would do 33kts, ( 37.9 mph ) but this ship during its sea trials toped out at just shy of 36kts or 41.4 mph. Coming in at around 75,000 tons, that's defiantly haling the mail.
