In her talk Anush Khachatryan argues that the way we are brought up can make our life better or worse. She suggests to pay attention on empowering our kids, and especially girls to develop independent mindset to be able to choose the role they want in their life. Anush Khachatryan is a feminist, women human rights defender working in the sphere of women’s rights and gender equality in Armenia. Anush is a linguist-translator by her first education, later she got her second MA in Human Rights and Democratization in Eastern Partnership region. She has directed and implemented number of projects focused on Gender Equality and Gender Education, Women’s Empowerment and Leadership, Peace Building, Gender Based Violence and more specifically Domestic Violence in Armenia.
Anush Khachatryan is currently involved in “OxYGen” Foundation for Protection of Youth and Women’s Rights as a Policy Advocacy Program Officer and in UNFPA Armenia as a Project coordinator fully engaged in policy development.
