This was my first attempt at using expanding foam. The foam is used as a sculpting material for the modification of my fiberglass RV-8A airplane cowling. I am modifying the radiator inlets for two reasons. I want to increase the inlet overall size to maximize cooling air to the radiator. The second reason is that the bottoms of the inlets protrude forward more than the tops of the inlets. This reduces air flow when it is needed most, during high power climbs.
