These are the top stories for today's Konkani Prime Bulletin:-

1- The Goa police department has dismissed IRB Constable Amit Naik, who is accused of allegedly helping history sheeter Siddiqui @Suleman Khan escape from the Crime Branch lockup.
Amit Naik surrendered at Hubli police station and was interrogated. Naik was later brought to Old Goa police station.
As per sources, Siddiqui @ Suleman Khan had offered Rs 3 Cr to constable Amit Naik to help him escape from the crime branch lockup. Siddiqui had promised to give him cash after dropping him in Karnataka.


2- Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has informed that MoRTH has sanctioned ₹747 crore for the 4-laning of a 7.24 km stretch from the end of Madgaon Bypass to Cuncolim on NH-66, which will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).
He further said that the project includes a 4.45 km six-lane flyover to alleviate congestion in urban areas.
Gadkari added that this stretch, part of the Mumbai–Kanyakumari 4/6 lane corridor, is crucial for connecting Madgaon and Cuncolim in South Goa, while facilitating intra-state traffic from Karnataka and Maharashtra. Passing through Navelim, Dramapur, Sirlim, Chinchinim, and Panzarconi, it aims to reduce congestion, enhance safety, and address accident-prone zones.



3- After the no-confidence motion was filed against Bicholim Municipality Chairperson, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and BJP Goa President Sadanad Shet Tanavade were in damage control mode.
CM Sawant along with Tanavade held a meeting with all BJP Councillors today.
Speaking to media after the meeting, CM Sawant said “ The dispute between Bicholim Councillors has been resolved, with the no-confidence motion being dismissed. Any decision that needs to be made will be taken by BJP. All the councillors are united,”


4- Paulo Rangel, Minister of State and Foreign Affairs of Portugal has attended the exposition of the sacred relics of St Francis Xavier at Old Goa.
He was accompanied by Goa Minister Aleixo Sequeira along with other Goa govt officials.
Upon arriving in Goa, Paulo met the Goa Governor at Raj Bhavan.  Paulo is on a 4 day visit to India.


5- Taleigao residents along with a farmer have filed a police complaint regarding recurring destruction of crops in Taleigao fields due to stray cattle.
In what could also be a unique movie, they even brought the cattle as evidence to Panaji police station.
