In this video we get into the basics of color application, in three separate zones (water, land, and sky), using the layered dye based ink on glossy card stock techniques. Tips on how to achieve smooth layers of tone in a simple process is covered. The grassy meadow scene from video 2 is used to demonstrate this process. A base coat of blue --as well as some pinkish spot coloring-- is used in all areas to unify the color scheme and zones.
