In our recent Romans 8 studies, we have studied the placement of each and every Christian in God’s family. We have learned that the moment a soul trusts in Jesus Christ’s saving gift on Calvary, that soul becomes a child of God and a joint heir with Christ. All of that is true, without question, without debate.
However, if we become joint heirs with Christ, what does that mean? The Bible tells us that all the universe belongs to God the Father, and Jesus Christ is heir to all of it. If we are joint heirs, what is our standing? Are we lower than Christ? Will our inheritance be ranked against other Christians as to whom God bestows more than others? Will God parcel out the universe into millions of sections? Can God’s “bank account” or possessions ever run out? Can there be too many children of God for God the Father to provide for? No, no, and a thousand times no.
Here in Romans 8, we will present the Biblical evidence for God’s limitless, never-ending, always abounding gifts and inheritance for His children. Every saved soul—no matter the race, age, economic standing, or any other factor—is valued equally in God’s eyes as He values His only Son, Christ Jesus. God will provide for and bless every single Christian with the exact same inheritance.
The universe! All of it! Praise the Lord for a God who has no limits and boundless love, mercy, and forgiveness.
