This series is a beginners guide to O level Additional Mathematics (Syllabus 4049) covering the key concepts for all the topics taught by my mascot, Axie the Axolotl. This guide is fully scripted and animated with curated questions, mostly from the Ten Years Series (TYS), packaged in an entertaining way full of memes and occasional surprises. I suggest watching the TYS GAULTNET video for more challenging questions and concepts: [ Ссылка ]
My dream is to make a full A Math (and E Math in the future) guide for free on YouTube and I hope that this guide could help some struggling student out there who may not be able to afford tuition. After almost 2 years of work scripting, working out ideas, examples and analogies the Sec 3 and Sec 4 topics are FINALLY DONE and I’m so incredibly proud of how it turned out. But the A Math video guide is not over yet… I still have one final video planned.
MISTAKES:
At 22:45, the rate of change equation is mathematically incorrect even though the numerical answer is correct. The rate of change equation should be dy/dt = dy/dx * dx/dt instead. The original method of taking the inverse of dy/dx to get dx/dy is conceptually wrong even though it gives the same answer because dy/dx represents a rate of change and not a fraction.
At 23:28, it should be integrating 4x^2 + 1 instead of 4x + 1
You can still use the method i taught in the video to give you a head start on constructing the rate of change equation, however you need to do one extra step. Since dx/dy is invalid, we kinda get a hint that it belongs on the other side, so it becomes dy/dx and you can see that the dx 'cancels off'.
