As the song was written by italians brothers (Dammicco), i though it was the Al Bano version that was the original, but it's 1981. Zacar is an Italian band, here singing in english to reach the international market i guess. And as the title didn't get enough success I guess the producer gave it to the famous duet Al Bano/ Romina Power, and they sing it in Italian. "Soleado", the other hit song of Zacar seems to have a quite same story as the song was recorded twice (le rose blu) before get a success.
