Method:
- Organic flaxseeds: 1 Cup or 250 gms
- Water: 4 Cups Of Water
- The ratio of Flaxseed to water should be 1:4 to get a workable consistency. Less water makes the gel very thick difficult to be extracted.
- Boil seeds and water together on low to medium heat for 7-8 minutes.
- Heating it any further will make the gel too thick .
- Use a regular Sieve or a clean cloth to extract the gel While it is still hot. Once it starts cooling, it is super difficult to extract gel as the gel hardens.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Remains good for upto 15 days when away from moisture.
Important:
The remaining boiled seeds can once again be boiled and a new batch can still be extracted. As flaxseeds have way too much gel to be extracted only once.
