REFLECTION:
How can I give thanks in all circumstances?
How is it possible for me to obey and ”give thanks in all circumstances” if my circumstances are horrible?
What can drive my thanksgiving when life seems to be all disappointment, discouragement, disease, disaster, and death after another?
ACTION POINT:
Regardless how hard and difficult my circumstances may be, I can find reasons to be grateful and thankful to God.
Because of JESUS, I can be thankful that all things work together for my good because I belong to Him (Romans 8:28). I can also be thankful that God's grace is sufficient to sustain me in every circumstance (2 Corinthians 12:9), and that nothing can ever separate me from His love (Romans 8:38,39).
I will know God's will by knowing God's Word. Out of my sincere gratitude, no matter what, I will give thanks to Him because it is His WILL for me to do so, and because my gratitude honors and pleases Him.
What JESUS promises is real and I believe Him; there is no circumstance that can steal my joy and thanksgiving. I will be thankful in every circumstance because God's goodness, love, grace, and mercy NEVER ceases.
Out of the overflow of my heart, "Thank You JESUS for EVERYTHING!"
