A 3-year-old girl named Chetna has been trapped in a 700-foot deep borewell in Rajasthan's Kotputli for nearly 70 hours. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when Chetna, while playing on her father's farm, accidentally fell into the borewell. Initially, she fell only about 15 feet, but as her family tried to rescue her, she slipped further down and became stuck at a depth of around 150 feet.
Rescue operations are in full swing, with authorities deploying rat hole miners to assist in the efforts. These miners, who specialize in digging narrow tunnels, reached the site late last night. Their task is to dig a parallel pit 160 feet deep, followed by a 7-foot-long tunnel to extract the girl from the borewell. Despite the challenging conditions, the team is working tirelessly to save Chetna and bring her to safety.
