We founded Ragasphere as a global community which is focussed around the LISTENER of Hindustani Classical Music.

We firmly believe that Music can be explained and that is what we have been trying to do through this channel on youtube called RagaQuest.

We started the Raga Parichay series on the RagaQuest YouTube page and we aim to help you experience the Ragas better. This is a weekly live series that is meant to be interactive so that we can have a conversation with you about your favourite Ragas.

We take one Raga a week and we plan to do over 100 Ragas over the span of the next couple of years.

We begin with a few popular songs based on the Raga to find the characteristic elements and common phrases. Through these phrases, try and get to know the Raga on which these songs are based.
We show demonstrations on the flute, discuss questions that you may have, talk about the technical aspects of the Raga like the aaroha, avroha, chalan, rasa and many other interesting concepts.
