Amid demands for an apology by Rahul Gandhi over his remarks made in London by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress leader will hold a press conference in Delhi at 3 pm on Thursday. He is likely to defend his 'democracy is in danger' remarks on foreign soil.
Rahul Gandhi attended Parliament today, following which he met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and asked for time to speak in Parliament to defend his remark. “His name was taken by BJP leaders inside the House. He told the speaker that he needed to defend himself and he should be given time to speak,” said party leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
