Note that as well as passing through all the above stations along this route their is also a proposed station called Thorpe Park Rose to be located between Garforth and Cross Gates at around 15:40.
Services on this route are provided regularly by TransPennine Express and Cross Country (fast services) and Northern (stopping services) as well as a very limited London North Eastern Railway service. The rolling stock on TransPennine Express services are either 185 Desiros, 802 IETs (Nova 1) or 68+Mk5 (Nova 3). At the time of filming the reduced TransPennine timetable was in place meaning there were only 2 or 3 TP services each hour however their are usually at least 4 every hour.
As this route is unelectrified for most of the route all services on it must be either diesel or bi-mode units. This is the main route between York and Leeds however Northern also provide slower services via Harrogate. As TransPennine Express provide most fast services between these 2 places the majority of passengers making this journey will use them.
