I wrote this at Ashley Lake in Montana. It was the first time I had seen the sunrise in a very long time. The water was crystal clear, and so was my head. This one means a whole lot to me.

Official Lyrics
Hmmmm
I ain’t seen the sunrise since the last time I came down
I’ve been swimming muddy waters and my head’s been in the clouds
(But) the wind and waves ain’t been this calm since before you came around
Now the mud is at the bottom and the smoke is clearing out
I’ve been chasing bottles only slowing down for bumps
When I’d get down to the bottom I’d just roll another blunt
I’ve been facing death full throttle, carving my stone, burning woods
Then I hit that fuckin pothole and it parked my truck for good
Hmmmmm
I do whatever it takes just to get outside of myself
Because the person you want me to be is my personal hell
So I take to making potions, put myself under a spell
Cuz I’d rather meet my maker than live in this cold jail cell
I’ve been chasing bottles only slowing down for bumps
When I’d get down to the bottom I’d just roll another blunt
I’ve been facing death full throttle, carving my stone, burning woods
Then I hit that fuckin pothole and it parked my truck for good
I’ve been chasing bottles only slowing down for bumps
When I’d get down to the bottom I’d just roll another blunt
I’ve been facing death full throttle, carving my stone, burning woods
Then I hit that fuckin pothole and it parked my truck for good
