With #WorldHomelessDay coming up on Saturday (Oct 10) we hear from John about what led to him sleeping rough, his experiences and how he has been helped to get back on track through the Housing First project in Wolverhampton. His specialist support worker, Callum, from Wolverhampton Homes also explains how he is helping John.
Housing First clients are placed in their own self-contained properties. The support provided through the project is intensive, personalised and holistic, with flexible and frequent contact with a support worker.
By June 2021 Wolverhampton will have 44 clients in Housing First accommodation.
