My first chance to capture the Severn valley railways annual Santa steam specials that haul a half-an-hour (southbound and northbound) packed service to Arley from Kidderminster and return. We specially travelled to the Severn valley because of the visiting engine from the Great Central Railway, 92214 BR 2-10-0 9f in the British Railway lined Brunswick green. Here in the shot we see 2857 GWR 2-8-0 2800 class hauling a Santa special service into Arley over Victoria bridge, constructed in 1861 by engineer Sir John Folwer. hope you enjoy.
