Members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) went on strike in Los Angeles on Friday, July 14, after talks with major Hollywood studios and streaming services failed on Thursday.
Footage posted by SAG-AFTRA shows members, including union president Fran Drescher, disembarking from a bus in Los Angeles on Friday morning.
The work stoppage marks the first time in 63 years that both writers and actors were striking simultaneously, the Los Angeles Times reported.
