London Lives = London's Dead. The past parishioners of The Church of St Bartholomew the Great in West Smithfield, Barbican, London EC1A 9DS.

You can learn a lot of "social history" from the inscriptions on Vault / Tomb / Headstones! & I covered every single stone "apart from the ones, completely worn smooth" in that Church.

Starting with "the man who founded everything we can still see today" Prior Rahere = friend to the King, & who founded The Priory of St Bartholomew, which covers = The Church of St Bartholomew the Great - St Bart's Hospital - & the Hospital Chapel of St Bartholomew the Less.

I find all past Londoners "really interesting" = But, there are some very interesting ones, amongst these! All the photos were taken on Wednesday 15th February 2023.
