Queensland Tourism Industry Council CEO Daniel Gschwind says the state is looking forward to welcoming many interstate travellers when the border reopens.
Queensland is set to open to fully vaccinated interstate tourists and travellers from December 13.
It comes as the state has hit its 80 per cent double dose vaccination milestone.
Mr Gschwind told Sky News Australia the state's tourism industry is "very pleased" the Palaszczuk government has "stuck with the roadmap".
"We can't wait, it's not coming a day too soon," he said.
