- Hi, my name is David P. Shapiro. I'm the owner and managing partner of the Law Office of David P. Shapiro, located in San Diego, California, where my firm helps good people regain control of their future when charged with a crime. In this video, I want to answer a question that sometimes we get when we might be at an event, maybe like a golf outing, or a charity sponsorship event. Myself, members of the team are there, we're out engaging in the community. And a lot of times, what we'll do is we'll bring, obviously, everyone brings their business card, so what? But what we'll do is we'll bring a couple of different things. We'll bring lint sheets to keep people looking fresh and clean. We'll bring hand sanitizer spray to keep people... Keep their hands clean and we have our little slogan on it that'll say, "Keep your hands and your record clean. "Keep your clothes and your record clean." Those types of things. And a lot of times we'll give out these ice shakers here that have our logo, the fleur-de-lis and LOODPS underneath. But a lot of times people ask, "Hey, what's LOODPS?" And a lot of people don't know, and I get that, because it's really not a word, but it is the acronym for Law Office of David P. Shapiro. Well, why don't we just call it, Law Office of David P. Shapiro? Well, a couple of things, back in 2010 when I started the firm, not the most creative name in the world. And the reason why a lot of law firms start that way is because, well, that's what everybody else they know does, Law Office of John Smith, Law Office of Sherry Thomas, Law Office of David P. Shapiro, but over time, that law firm, this law firm, became far more than me, it became a team of multiple, multiple attorneys and multiple, multiple assistants, to establish ourselves as one of the best San Diego criminal defense attorneys and one of the best San Diego criminal defense law firms around. And part of it was we don't wanna necessarily change the entire name of the firm, but we also wanted to create something that wasn't necessarily Law Office of David P. Shapiro because that's like everybody else. And that's what, really, we're not about that, doing things the way everybody else does things. It's not to say that there's other firms out there, or there's not other firms out there that do a good job representing their clients, there are, there were several, but we always pride ourselves in doing things a little bit different and we believe a little bit better than most out there. So, LOODPS, Law Office of David P. Shapiro. I've heard people call "loodpis, loodpis," all these types of things, people have fun with it. Nevertheless, it's LOODPS. So if you see that out there, you see a #LOODSP, it really is our firm, Law Office of David P. Shapiro, LOODPS. Hope you found this video helpful, so now you learn something new today.
