Commissioner Connie Hedegaard presents the new 2030 Climate and Energy objectives, which aim to clarity for investors and support progress towards a more competitive, low-carbon and energy-secure European economy. This ambitious package of proposals will also ensure the EU economy and energy system becomes more competitive, secure and sustainable. It will also send a clear message to other countries that Europe is setting ambitious targets and is committed to achieving a global climate deal in Paris next year.
