A line of armed police is what stood between a 16-year-old and the farm where her father was shot and killed as she wailed on Friday, demanding to see the man who is accused of killing him.
After the Piet Retief Magistrate’s Court released Orchard Klingenberg, Danie Malan, Cornelius Greyling, Ignitius Steinberg and Senzele Yende on R10 000 bail each, a group of community members, including the teenage girl, and farmworkers, who allege they have not been paid this month, gathered outside Pampoenkraal farm demanding salaries and justice.
