This is my 12 gallon backyard wildlife pond that I made from a Plastic cement mixing tray from Home Depot. This was sitting in the backyard when it filled up with rainwater and a toad had laid her eggs in it. I put the branch in there so that she could get out. I then made it more hospitable for her eggs which then turned into tadpoles. They eat plant matter such as algae. It will take weeks for them to grow their legs. I moved this container to the shade so that they wouldn't get too hot in this extreme summer heat. I do add new water with dechlorinator when the water level gets low.
