The ancient traditional art of Indian wrestling, known as ‘kushti’, thrives in wrestling gyms, or ‘akhara’, scattered around the India. Akhara are one of the few places in India where Hindu men who come from different castes are considered equals.

Indian men practice the three-thousand-year-old sport known as "Kushti", a form of wrestling, in its traditional form at the fight club. In Indian Kushti has a long tradition.

Kushti (mud wrestling) is a traditional sport in India but more and more young athletes are now taking up mat wrestling to gain access to the top international competitions like the Commonwealth Games or the upcoming Olympic Games.
