Here are some foods I would avoid if you just got braces put on:
1. Crunchy chips (takis, doritos, tortilla chips) that are really hard to bite into. Popped snacks like pirate's booty or cheesepuffs are fine and much safer.
2. Frozen Fruits are too hard to bite into
3. Raw carrots (cooked carrots are fine)
4. Popcorn and Caramel Popcorn (popped sorghum or hulless popcorn are safer options)
5. Corn on the Cob I would avoid throughout treatment with braces. Off the cob is fine!
