Photos of reparing a Bic Bamba Windsurfing Raceboard (most likely 1990, see [ Ссылка ]) with several significant defects in the hull. It has significant patina and wear/use marks from a tough past. The graphics of the deck are bleached away and unvisible. After drying the board for some time the rotten foam and glassfiber was generously removed and replaced with new foam and several layers of glassfiber and epoxy. Mast track was disassembled, cleaned and reassembled and reattached to the board. A daggerboard is available, and had to be repaired as well, but no photos taken. The repaired spots of the board got a paint job. I understand that it could be nicer and invisible, but I preferred rather thick layers of epoxy and glass to make it sturdy and long lasting (hopefully). At last the board got new foot straps with stainless steel screws and washers. Luckily the threads of all foot strap plugs were ok, so stainless steel 5mm x 16mm screws, made specifically for plastic material, got a good grip. For the US box slot I luckily found a 23cm and a 39cm fin in my accessories box. Now the board is ready to surf. Maiden trip will come on soon.
