A global internet outage has left many people struggling to access major websites. Social media and sites including Amazon, Paypal and The New York Times have been affected. Users have been met with errors or connection failures. A glitch at US-based cloud services provider Fastly is believed to be the cause. Fastly -- one of the world's most widely used content delivery network providers -- said it has identified and fixed the problem.
