John’s opinion of the Sailrite Fabricator has always been that it is a good quality hobbyist machine, but not for someone who is looking to do upholstery work professionally. As of 2022, he now no longer recommends this machine for anyone. As the prices of many professional grade machines have dropped, and the Sailrite Fabricator’s price has not, you can now purchase a much higher quality machine for almost the same amount of money. Currently, the Juki 1541s is John’s number one recommendation across the board! This is a high-quality machine, built to withstand everyday use, and to last your lifetime.
