3-Phase Motor Control Tutorial on Reverse & Forward Simulation
In this tutorial, we will delve into the simulation of forward and reverse motor control using Automation Studio software, specifically focusing on a 3-phase motor setup. Automation Studio is a powerful tool for simulating and designing control systems in industrial automation and electrical engineering applications.
In this tutorial, we will explore how to master 3-phase motor control with step-by-step instructions for reverse and forward simulation using Automation Studio software. We will delve into the basics of electrical motor control and provide practical examples of how to program PLCs to control the direction of a 3-phase motor.
Our tutorial will take you through the simulation process, step-by-step, ensuring that you are equipped with the knowledge to operate and program your own 3-phase motor systems. 3-Phase Motor Reverse & Forward Simulation using automation studio software. Two magnetic contactors are used, one for forward connections and the other for reverse connections. Only Push Button switches are used to control the direction of this three-phase AC motor. We have the input commands to these Push Button switches which are then internally processed by PLC .The forward and reverse contactors are mechanically interlocked i.e., if one of them is closed the other cannot close. This is done to avoid dead short circuit in case both the contactors closing simultaneously. Also electrical interlocking could be provided using the contactors control contacts. 3- Instruments & Equipments.
