This is my February drive checking what is going on with Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 and we have included the new Runway Toll Plaza of Skyway stage 1 and improvements along Stage 2.
So you let RFID register and deduct load at Alabang Toll Plaza / Hillsborough then pass thru at Runway Toll plaza... Do you think the Runway Toll Plaza is necessary?
After months, the runway toll plaza is restored but it did caused some traffic last week that is why the payment scheme was again modified. There were new chevron markers /RFID printed on the left lane of skyway.
Section 1
- The first steel girder was installed along Buendia Flyover last January 19.
- More girders were installed along pier 13 - 14 and pier 19 - 20 and 21 along the Buendia flyover segment
- As you can see more electrical and drain pipes installed on most stretch of Osmena Highway.
- you can also observe that Osmena highway is now three to four lanes.
- Concrete formworks and pouring on Pier 84 completed - pier head visible
- Pier 89 is complete / Along Quirino Avenue
On section 2
Section 2: Lots of improvements on Plaza Dilaw, especially on the corner of Quirino Ave. and Osmena Highway. Some horizontal concrete formworks have now been put into place for the first level of what would eventually become a two-level section of the Skyway Stage 3.
- PS2-03 you could visibly see NB and SB difference.. probably double decker...
- There was a traffic advisory released this week regarding Sevilla Bridge and other bridges along San Juan River. Bridge works will be done to make way for Skyway stage 3
Section 3
Still no visible construction activities in front of SM Sta. Mesa; however, major progress have been made along much of G. Araneta Ave. as most of the girders have been put into place. The road deck has also been installed along some stretches of this section. The primary obstacle now are the spaghetti cables that's blocking the installation of the girders.
- Girders have been installed on most of the Araneta avenue area from PS2-05 to PS3 -37 making this stretch dark
- From PS3-41portion, formworks are beginning while others have girders installed.. the problein this segment from E Rod to Quezon Avenue as i have observed are the high tension wires/ post still no movement...
- PS3-62 formworks and you could see the center pier protruding - probably another bi level elevated road?
Section 4
- You could see the form of probably entry ramps at the center...
- From PS4-26 onwards you could see some pier have girders installed and others being prepared for pouring
- Its nice to see the works from Delmonte intersection up to Sgt Rivera Street because you could see that NB and SB have different level
- Girders have been completed from PS4 -108 - PS4 127 / A Bonifacio
