This swim is a hidden Dartmoor gem. Parking is just 8 minutes from the Ashburton exit of the A38 Devon Expressway. But you will have to work for the swim as it is still a magical couple of miles away by foot! All signs of modern existence, including mobile phone reception, melt away within 5 minutes of passing through the gate on the other side of Newbridge to the car park and setting foot on the path through the woods. This stroll affords ample time to really lose yourself in nature and focus on being present. What awaits at this out-of-the-way swim spot is an exhilarating, addictive natural playground.
