Can companies learn to report properly on nature? Recent years have seen the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) become an integral part of reporting; just as companies have to report their profits and losses, many now voluntarily report climate impacts in line with TCFD.
As the climate framework moves towards becoming mandatory in many territories, the question has turned to nature and biodiversity, and how the corporate sector can properly disclose the impact it has on the natural world, with the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
In this Initiative Spotlight on TNFD from Ethical Finance 2021, Elizabeth Maruma Mrema, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity at the UN, and Mikkel Larsen, Chief Sustainability Officer at DBS Bank share their experiences with GEFI's Natalie Jackson.
Ethical Finance 2021 was held from Tuesday 8th – Thursday 10th June 2021, centered around the theme of “Financing a Sustainable Future: Climate and Beyond”.
