A classic from better days leads automotive X202-21 (420 axles, 102 cars) north up the Chattanooga Sub on another hot and humid morning. This is my first original CSX SD70MAC leader since December 2020, and the unique sound it gives the K5LA, the faded YN3 paint, the tiny nose logo, and that steel bell bring back memories of better days on this once great railroad. Unfortunately for those north of Nashville, they decided to swap 4748 and 355 out as the leader due to some sort of issue possibly involving the water or oil levels in 4748. Either, I was stoked about this catch and was lucky that I happened to get up and hear this on the Cowan scanner.
