Swami Chidanandapuri and Rajiv Malhotra discuss the whole Sabarimala verdict in 2018 and its aftermath that rocked all of Kerala for many months. Swamiji explains very clearly, the nuances of the rituals that are performed at Sabarimala and juxtaposes them with some of the conditions that are followed in some other temples in Kerala. He explains the meaning of a devalaya as conceptualised by tantric traditions and how it is irrational and illogical for a secular Supreme Court to apply the secular and hinduphobic lens to treat the situation at Sabarimala. He singles out Justice Indu Malhotra as the only person who understood the nuances of the beliefs of the devotees and dissented against the majority decision of the 5 member constitution bench. Rajiv Malhotra talks of the glaring error by the Supreme Court in not having an expert on the temple traditions as one of the stake holders in the case.
