Beung (or Beng) Melea temple is one among many temples built by founder of Angkor Wat, king Suryavarman II in 12th century. Like others, this temple was abandoned and left to be claimed by mother nature. The temple is located some 65 km from Siem Reap town in the north east of Angkor Wat. If you have chance to visit Siem Reap, Cambodia, you should not miss this hidden treasure. The temple has not been restored at all. Trees are still around and every where in this temple. You are recommended to go to visit this temple as early you can to fully enjoy the tranquility here in this temple.
