Air raid sirens were blaring across Ukraine after Russia carried out a 'massive air attack' across the country, including the capital, Kyiv, said Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv's military administration.

The Ukrainian army said it downed more than 20 Iranian-made Shahed drones launched by the Kremlin on the capital. Air raids were also reported in the cities of Lviv and Zaporizhzhia.
