Slovenia joined the GLOBE Program in a virtual signing ceremony that featured Simona Kustec, Minister for Education, Science, and Sport, American Ambassador Lynda Blanchard, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs Jonathan Moore, and NASA program leader Allison Leidner.
In 2020, the GLOBE program turned 25, and includes more than 120 members worldwide! Students who have participated in the GLOBE program have contributed more than 190 million measurements to the GLOBE database since 1995, to be used in research and scientific projects.
The program in Slovenia will be managed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, while the Centre for School and Outdoor Education will be tasked with its implementation.
