I rarely see male velvet ants. Over the years I have seen 100s of female velvet ants but only 2 or 3 males. This one was moving slow enough I was able to get some video of it. Although they look dangerous, male velvet ants cannot sting and are completely harmless. If you have ever seen a male velvet ant comment below!
