My pistol targets are 1/4" AR500, my rifle targets are 3/8" AR500. Both are plenty sturdy for the task and I haven't experienced any pitting yet. I expect these to last a really long time. I hang them using steel S hooks, eye bolts, and even paracord. I plan to make a video dedicated to these AR500 steel targets and how to properly mount them on a budget!
