The Higher Diploma in Science (Software Development) is a one-year full-time programme in Maynooth University for students who already have a level 8 qualification in a subject other than computer science or software development. The focus is on industrial software development using the Java programming language and this course prepares students for direct entry into careers in the software industry and careers that require a high level of software skills in combination with their previous degree level study and work experience.
