Innerspace Watersports in Vernon & Kelowna BC has built a custom bracket that makes it easy to add a Timbersled TSS to a Yeti Snow MX kit. With a successful mount of 3 kits this season we are seeing success in swapping the Yeti Soft Strut for the Timbersled TSS.
This video is a high level summary of how we do it. For exact measurements we prefer to have the bike in our shop to make sure there is the right clearance for the Yeti as the TSS has more travel than the soft strut.
It is recommended the bike uses a TSS air boot as it has more room for the shock and will be less likely to interfere with the movement. The TSS air boot is also more efficient than a stock air box as it will not plug with snow or freeze up.
As a starting point 300 PSI is recommended to ensure clearance from the tunnel as the TSS can move up to 1.5”. That said it may vary from each bike so measurements and suggestions are based on what we have tested so far.
As of Feb 2019 we have put three of these mounts on Yeti kits. Builds are custom. Remember this is a performance upgrade, trouble shooting is to be expected. It is a modification created by Innerspace Watersports an we recommend you bring your bike to us before attempting at home.
