The National Investigation Agency (NIA) was conducting search operations at many locations in Bihar on Thursday, including Chhapra, Darbhanga, Araria, Muzaffarpur, and Patna, as part of the most recent development in the Phulwari Sharif case. The raids were conducted as part of the investigation into an alleged terrorist cell connected to the Popular Front of India (PFI). It was discovered that PFI members had offensive content. The group was accused of operating armed training camps under the pretence of martial arts instruction to establish an "Islamic State by 2047" in India. The NIA later took up the investigation. The NIA is reportedly searching Salim Akhtar's home in Nalanda and Ehsan Parwez's home in Araria.
