Recipe and Ingredients
1.5 kg Rohu Fish
250g Desi Ghee
2 Cinnamon
3 Black Cardamom
8-10 Cloves
2 TBSP Ginger/Garlic Paste
2 Green Chilies Paste
200g Tomato Puree (Fresh)
250g (Onions Fried and make its paste)
2 TSP Red Chili ( We added one as we eat less spicy, its ideal to add 2 tsp)
Salt to taste
2 TSP Coriander Powder
1/2 TSP Turmeric
250g Yogurt
1 TSP Garam Masala
Fresh Coriander
1.5 TBSP Lemon Juice
In a pan add 250g Desi Ghee and add 2 Cinnamon, 3 Black Cardamom & 8-10 Cloves. Then add 2 TBSP Ginger/Garlic Paste & 2 Green Chilies Paste. Cook for 2 minutes and then add 200g Tomato Puree (Fresh). Cook for a minute and then add 2 TSP Red Chili ( We added one as we eat less spicy, its ideal to add 2 tsp), Salt to taste, 2 TSP Coriander Powder & 1/2 TSP Turmeric. Cook for another 2 minutes and then add paste of 250g fried onions. Cook for another minute and add 250g Yogurt. Now cook this gravy for 10 minutes (And in between add some water so curry doesn't get burned)
Then add Fish to the Curry. Let fish cook for a minute and then flip the sides of fish and let it cook for a minute on the other side too. Now add 1.5 tbsp lemon juice and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now mix this well, do not use any spoon. Shake and move the pan to mix as shown in the video. Cook for 3-4 minutes and add 1 tsp garam masala. Cook for another minute and then add 1 Cup water. Now again mix well as shown in the video and cook for 2-3 minutes and again add 1 Cup water to it and mix well as shown in the video. Cook for another 3-4 minutes and then add fresh coriander to it. Till now we have cooked fish for 15 minutes. Now we will let it cook further on low flame for 10 minutes. Finally the Rohu Fish Curry is Ready!
