Following an exciting conclusion to the 2019 MRF Tyres Australian Production Cars season at The Bend Motorsport Park last month, the management of the MRF Tyres Australian Production Cars have revealed more details about its 2020 season opening event.
To be known as the Production Car Nationals, featuring the APC Sydney 240, the event will be held at Sydney Motorsport Park across March 6-8.
Alongside four one-hour races for the MRF Tyres APC competitors, the event will also host racing from the NSW Production Touring Cars, the NSW Production Sports cars, the Australian Pulsar Racing Association, the Australian Protype Series and Radical Australia. Event organisers are also in final discussions with one further category to join the program.
Also included in the schedule will be the inaugural running of the MRF Tyres Invitational – a handicap race which will pit the top three cars of each class of the MRF Tyres APC and the NSW Production Touring Cars as well as the top five Pulsars against each other in a 15-lap sprint.
The season-opening event will be run independently by Ontic Sports, the company behind the MRF Tyres APC.
