One of the first clinch positions most students new to Muay Thai look to take is what is known as the “Thai” clinch a.k.a both hands around your partner or opponents neck/head. Therefore, escaping this position is fundamental in ensuring you maintain dominance in the clinch, no matter whether you are clinching in training or during a fight.
